Title: Storm Chaser
Age: 20
Bio:
I’m an 20 year old Entrepreneur, Photographer, and I own my own business. I’m currently going to school for Radio Broadcasting in Dallas, Texas. I’ve worked in the radio industry, as well as on-air intern for a major syndicated morning radio show based here in Dallas, Texas.
In the Spring/Summer months my main focus switches over to Severe Weather. Believe it or not when I was a child I was TERRIFIED of storms. I’d always hide under a blanket when it thundered outside. Then around 6 years ago, my fear turned into a passion. I was standing outside one day with a storm brewing overhead. The tornado sirens went off, and I had this sudden urge run to my dad and ask him to take me to go chase the tornado. And ever since that day the fear turned into passion. I feel so lucky to get to travel out in the spring and summer months to go watch mother nature in all it’s glory. From monster tornado’s to grapefruit sized hail… I love chasing and will be out chasing every storm I can until I’m no longer able to walk!

Title: Storm Chaser in Training
Age: 27
Bio:
I work full time as a pharmacy technician and am in college taking
prerequisites to transfer to a university for a Civil Engineering
degree. After that I plan to get a masters in meteorology. My ultimate
goal is to be a part of making structures more safe during severe
weather. When I’m not working or in school, I enjoy dorky things like
gaming, reading, watching science documentaries, and teaching my cat
to play “Tag”.
I’ve always had a deep desire to know how everything works and storms
are no exception. I grew up terrified of storms, and for many years I
couldn’t even watch tornadoes on tv without getting scared!
Fortunately I let the passion for learning about them win over the
fear and after taking a local Skywarn class I knew I had to see a
tornado with my own eyes. Though I will always have respect for the
power of nature, the fear is gone and now I just can’t get enough. I’m
new to chasing, but I am already completely addicted. I saw my first
tornado on March 18, 2012 and I’m ready to see more.
