Well we had one heck of a day yesterday. Large tornadoes ripped through the DFW. Sadly, 6 are reported killed so far. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by these storms.

Cody Howard from Texas Storm Raiders and I will be heading out to Granbury today to help cleanup and bring water to first responders/cleanup crew.

3/9/2013 First chase of the season!

Well then, first chase of the season is in the bags! Had a blast, and felt great to get out. Although the storms were not too great, it was awesome to finally be able to get out and test the gear!

Already a year since Andy passed. I was lucky enough to meet Andy out chasing, and talk to him online quite a bit, but the most we’ve ever talked and bullshitted is the day before he died in Bowie, Texas. Chasing just crap storms, pulled over with Reed, just bs’in around before deciding the storms were done and to head home… Andy was seriously THE most passionate storm chaser out there. Nobody, and I mean nobody will ever come close to his absolute dedication to storm chasing. He did what he loved. Andy should be a huge inspiration to us. Do what you love, time is short, in a blink of an eye, literally, it can all change. Spend time with loved ones, tell them you love them often. There’s nothing more important then family and doing the things that you absolutely love.

Christmas Day Snow!

So we had some snow! On Christmas! If you guys remember, we also had snow on Christmas in 2009! It’s pretty rare to get snow on Christmas, so consider us lucky!
